Comments
This line was derived from a radiation induced T cell lymphoma.
Production of IL-2 is stimulated by T cell mitogens.
Peak levels are found in the culture medium after 24 hours of stimulation with either 1% PHA or 20 microgm/ml Con A.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Complete Growth Medium RPMI 1640 medium with 0.05 mM 2-mercaptoethanol, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%
Subculturing
Subcultivation Ratio: A subcultivation ratio of 1:2 to 1:4 is recommended
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 4 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 x 10 exp5 cells/ml Adherent cells can be dislodged by scraping with subsequent resuspension as above.
