Cell Type hybridoma: B lymphocyte
Product Format frozen
Morphology lymphoblast
Culture Properties suspension
Biosafety Level 1

Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.

Strain

Strain: S344NCR (B cell); BALB/c (myeloma)

Applications
Animals were immunized with a fusion protein corresponding to the products of CD44 variable exons V5 through V10.
The antibody is specific for a determinant that is apparently dependent upon posttranslational modification of CD44.
The specific exon coding for the determinant is not known.
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells.
Genes Expressed
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against a mouse CD44 determinant dependent upon posttranslational modification (specific exon unknown)
Cellular Products
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against a mouse CD44 determinant dependent upon posttranslational modification (specific exon unknown)

Complete Growth Medium RPMI 1640 medium with 2 mM L-glutamine adjusted to contain 1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate, 4.5 g/L glucose, 10 mM HEPES, 1.0 mM sodium pyruvate and supplemented with: 0.05 mM 2-mercaptoethanol 1% Origen Hybridoma Cloning Factor 10% fetal bovine serum
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 to 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml.
Maintain cultures at cell concentrations between 1 X 10(5) and 8 X 10(5) viable cells/ml.
Cryopreservation
Culture medium, 95%; DMSO, 5%
Culture Conditions
Temperature: 37.0°C
Isotype IgG2a
Name of Depositor KS Hathcock, Y Yamashita
