Applications
The antibody binds to IL-1 activated human endothelial cells, but not to resting endothelial cells or IL-1 treated mononuclear leukocytes, fibroblasts or keratinocytes.
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with mouse myeloma cells.
Genes Expressed
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against interleukin 1 (IL-1) activated human endothelial cells
Cellular Products
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against interleukin 1 (IL-1) activated human endothelial cells
Comments
Animals were immunized with IL-1 activated human umbilical vein endothelial cells.
Spleen cells were fused with mouse myeloma cells.
The antibody binds to IL-1 activated human endothelial cells, but not to resting endothelial cells or IL-1 treated mononuclear leukocytes, fibroblasts or keratinocytes.
It precipitates an antigen consisting of a 100000 dalton polypeptide (90000 daltons under reducing conditions).
The antibody totally blocks binding of granulocytes and partially blocks monocyte binding to IL-1 stimulated endothelial cells.
