Applications
Animals were immunized with a synthetic polypeptide with the sequence LMCQCWRKDPEERPTF corresponding to peptides 494 to 509 of the v-src oncogene (formerly 273 to 284).
In ELISA testing, the antibody cross reacts with the homologous region of FES, v-mos, erb B, v-src, FGR, yes, mil, FMS, abl, ros, lck, and MET. Weak activity was detected for PKS and fps.
Binding was not detected for c-mos, MOS, SRC, ros, rel, FMS, HIR, TRK, sea, and kit.
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells.

Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 to 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml.
Maintain cell density between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml.
