Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 myeloma cells.

Comments
Animals were immunized with the RPMI 8866 human B cell line.
Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 myeloma cells.
The antibody does not cross-react with mouse, rat, cat or monkey beta-2-microglobulin.
The antibody is not cytotoxic.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Complete Growth Medium Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 4.5 g/L glucose, 0.1 mM hypoxanthine and 0.016 mM thymidine, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Every 3 to 4 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml.
