Comments
VR-1540P is a purified virus product suspended in 200 µL of Hank's Balanced Salt Solution with Ca2+, Mg2+ and 25 mM HEPES Buffer. VR-1540 is prepared from original isolate deposited as VR-1302, which was grown in presence of neutralizing serum to remove contaminating adenovirus type 1.
Effect on Host
CPE, syncytial formation, rounding, and sloughing
CPE, syncytial formation, rounding, and sloughing
Recommended Host

Production Host:  HeLa (ATCC® CCL-2)

HeLa (ATCC CCL-2)
Growth Conditions
Temperature: 37°C
Recommendations for Infection: Plate cells 24 hours prior to infection and infect when cultures are 80-90% confluent. Remove medium and inoculate with a small volume of virus (e.g. 1 mL per 25 cm2) diluted to provide an MOI 0.1. Adsorb for 1 hour at 37°C in a humidified 5% CO2 atmosphere, rocking every 15 minutes to redistribute inoculum. End adsorption by adding virus growth medium.
Incubation: 3 to 10 days
