Applications
This antibody reacts with the CD45R antigen which is preferentially expressed on B cells and their precursors and a subpopulation of T cells.
The antibody binds to the high molecular weight isoform of CD45 expressing all three variable exons.
The antibody is important because it detects B cell precursors in 16 day old fetal mouse liver, and plates coated with this antibody have been used for depletion experiments.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).

Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells.

Animals were immunized with W279B murine B lymphoma cells.
Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells.

Thy-1 positive peripheral T cells are positive with this antibody.

Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 1 x 10 exp5 cells/ml ay maintain between 1 x 10 exp5 and 1 x 10 exp6 cells/ml.
