Applications
The antibody reacts with the second Ig domain of MAdCAM-1, and is a predominant ligand for the lymphocyte mucosal homing receptor (alpha 4, beta 7 integrin heterodimer).
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells.

Comments
Animals were immunized with endothelial cells from mouse mesenteric and peripheral lymph nodes.
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells.
The antibody reacts with the second Ig domain of MAdCAM-1, and is a predominant ligand for the lymphocyte mucosal homing receptor (alpha 4, beta 7 integrin heterodimer).
Unlike MECA-367, MECA-89 does not inhibit alpha 4, beta 7 dependent binding in vitro.

Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml.
