The VMTRC49 isolate of Cryptosporidium andersoni was collected from the feces of a Holstein cow, Bos taurus, in August, 1998 near Tulare, CA. Oocysts for DNA extraction were submitted by Dr. E.R. Atwill at University of California-Davis.
