Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.4; XbaI--2.4; HindIII/PvuI-- 1.5, 0.8. High-copy-number expression vector (T7-based) that can be used for preparation of nested deletions. Also encodes an amino-terminal histidine sequence of 10 residues and a factor Xa cleavage site allowing purification of a recombinant gene product by metal chelate chromatography and removal of the amino terminus.
