Purity (human clones): 82%. Contaminants (mouse): 10.5%. Verified to have an average insert size of 15 kb based on NotI digestion of DNA purified from the library. Chromosomes for library construction were isolated using flow sorting. Genome equivalents (average redundancy) were calculated by correcting for purity and assuming 15 kb average inserts and 49.2 Mb per chromosome 21. Derivation and characterization of the WAV-17 cell line were described in J. Exp. Med. 137: 317-330, 1973; Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 81: 5504-5508, 1984 and Genomics 8: 614-622, 1990.
