Purity (human clones): 83%. Contaminants (hamster): 4%. The J640-51 cell line was provided by C. Jones, Eleanor Roosevelt Institute of Cancer Research, Denver, CO 80206. It is described in Cytogenet. Cell Genet. 28: 181-194, 1980 and Somat. Cell. Mol. Genet. 17: 117-136, 1991. Chromosomes for library construction were isolated by Ger van der Engh using flow-sorting. Genomic equivalents (average redundancy) were calculated by correcting for purity and assuming 15 kb average inserts and 58 Mb/Y chromosome.
