H.sapiens CD36 gene exon 1. H.sapiens CD36 gene exon 2.

Origin
hamster/human MR3.31 6TG6 hybrid cell line
Applications
This is preserved in a solution containing 10% glycerol and 1.4 M CsCl. Of 496 probes analyzed after screening for human/hamster repeats, 40% were hamster specific, 39 contained moderately repetitive elements, and 258 (52%) were human-specific single-copy probes.

Comments
This is preserved in a solution containing 10% glycerol and 1.4 M CsCl. The CsCl should be diluted to less than 40 mM before infection. About 26% hamster impurity by in situ hybridization of sorted chromosomes; about 48% hamster impurity by plaque hybridization. Hamster impurity is 20-30%. Of 496 probes analyzed after screening for human/hamster repeats, 40% were hamster specific, 39 contained moderately repetitive elements, and 258 (52%) were human-specific single-copy probes. The size range of these was 0.5 - 6.5 kb. Of 55 unique sequence clones, 53 map to chromosome 7. Of 19 unique sequence clones, 18 map to chromosome 7. This is the second amplification of this library.
