SELDI (Surface Enhanced Laser Desorption Ionization): The SELDI Proteinchip® technology is designed to perform mass spectrometric analysis of protein mixtures retained on chromatographic chip surfaces. The SELDI mass spectrometer produces spectra of complex protein mixtures based on the charge/mass ratio of the proteins in the mixture and their binding affinity to the chip surface. Relative changes in protein expression can be determined by comparing peak intensities between samples.  
 
LC-MS/MS: Coupling the resolving power of liquid chromatography with the analytical sensitivity of mass spectrometry has transformed the rapid identification of biological macromolecules.  
 
2-D/LC: The ProteomeLab PF–2-D Protein Fractionation System is a fully automated, two-dimensional fractionation system (in liquid phase) that resolves and collects proteins by isoelectric point (pI) in the first dimension and by hydrophobicity in the second dimension.
 
Immunization Techniques: ATCC has several proprietary immunization strategies to improve the success rate for developing polyclonal and monoclonal products against differentially expressed proteins and cryptic epitopes. ATCC scientists also have experience in generating antibodies against proteins from “select agents” and microorganisms with elevated biosafety levels.
 
Genomic analysis: ATCC is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to support a variety of genomic-based assays, such as quality control analyses for nucleic acids and whole cell analyses, microarray gene expression analyses and gene expression profiling by quantitative PCR analyses.
