ATCC offers a targeted array of products for the culture of airway epithelial cells. The cells have been derived from the surface epithelium of normal human bronchial/tracheal tissue or from the surface epithelium of normal human bronchioles. Each complete solution includes an optimized basal medium and cell-specific growth kit to propagate the cells under serum-free (although not protein-free) conditions. No feeder layers, extracellular matrix proteins or other substrates are required for robust growth and normal morphology.
