
Microorganisms isolated from National Parks in the United States are now available through the National Park Service Special Collection at ATCC. These organisms offer a fascinating study of microbial ecology, from the hot springs of Yellowstone to the deserts of Big Bend National Park. Approximately 50 bacteria,fungi, and protozoa are currently available in this Special Collection, and the list will continue to grow.
Ordering
The NPS strains require a special Material Transfer Agreement. When you place an order, you will receive an e-mail or fax requesting you to print, complete and fax the fully executed MTA to ATCC. Your order will be shipped to you when ATCC has received and reviewed the completed MTA
Depositing
If you wish to deposit material in the National Park Service Special Collection please contact us. Deposit forms for different types of materials (listed below) are provided to facilitate the deposit process. The deposit forms can be downloaded using Adobe Acrobat Reader
